Did you know? Everyone's right

Have you ever heard of the right of public access, known as “Allemansrätten” in Swedish? This right is even enshrined in the Swedish constitution and allows you to freely explore Nordic nature. What is behind this rule? What should you keep in mind? What can this principle teach us about sustainable travel?

Fika – enjoying life like the Swedes

Fika, the tradition of drinking coffee and eating cake with friends, is as Swedish as ABBA. You might ask, "What's so special about a cup of coffee?" It's much more than that. Fika is deeply rooted in Swedish culture. Some companies even include a clause in their employment contracts that officially grants employees the right to fika breaks. The cinnamon bun (kanelbulle) and the traditional princess cake (prinsesstårta) are fika classics. The best part is that you can enjoy fika anywhere in Sweden on vacation.

7 of many good reasons to spend your vacation in Sweden

1. Pure nature! A paradise for nature lovers.

2. Fresh air, excellent drinking water, and restful sleep contribute to genuine relaxation.

3. Swedish specialties such as Jordgubbstårta or Raggmunk. Never heard of them? Then it's time to discover these and many other culinary delights during your vacation in Sweden.

4. The hospitality and friendliness of the Swedish people.

5. Learning surprising things about Swedish culture and traditions.

6. Being active made easy: whether cycling, hiking, kayaking or canoeing, cross-country skiing, ice skating on frozen lakes or a tour with huskies – all this and much more is possible here.

7. Finally seeing a moose in the wild. Moose are shy animals, but in Sweden you have a good chance of seeing these impressive creatures in real life.
